Our Clinic

Based in Peacehaven, our family-run practice has been operational since 1991 and become a part of the local community, along with serving patients from areas such as Brighton, Eastbourne and the surrounding East Sussex area. Over the years, we have worked extremely hard when it comes to keeping abreast of best modern dental practice and fostering an atmosphere of open communication with patients in order to provide top-quality personalised patient care.

 

 

 

Meet our Team

Dr. Sima Sadr DDS (Dental Doctor Surgeon)

Dr Sadr is a fully qualified dentist from the Karolinska Institute (a highly renowned institute in Sweden), which is recognised as Sweden's best university and one of the largest, most prestigious medical universities in the world. It is the highest ranked in all Scandinavia. The Nobel Assembly at the Karolinska Institute awards the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in Stockholm.

She relocated to the UK and set up her practice. Since 1997, she has been working with both the NHS and the private sector. She thoroughly enjoys her job and simply loves putting a smile on her patients’ faces. She always quotes Shakespeare as saying “a smile cures the wounding of a frown”.

Colin Gerrard L.D.S.  R.C.S.(Eng)

Qualified in 1986, Colin worked in London for a few years. He furthered his career by moving down to and joining a dental practice in the South Coast to work in Peacehaven with Dave Burnham in 1991. Colin formed a partnership with Dave until 2017, when Dave retired and the practice was taken over by Dr. Sadr.

Colin and Sima have since consolidated the Peacehaven dental practice, providing top quality dental care for the local community and beyond. In total, Colin has worked at the same practice for nearly 30 years and has often treated three generations of the same family. Many of the patients, now parents themselves, bring their children to see him.

Colin is a keen cyclist and loves nothing more than riding in the mountains. Last year he cycled in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Spain and the French Alps.

 

 

Mehdi Darbahani

 

A quality dental practice must have a formidable management structure. Mehdi Darbahani, married to Dr. Sadr for 30 years, is the bedrock of the day to day management of our Peacehaven dental practice.

Mehdi brings with him a vast set of skills and experience as part of his Degree in Sociology (1994 from Stockholm University) and more importantly through years of committed activities in the field of social needs, assisting people with social problems.

As your first point of contact in the practice, Mehdi’s friendly and approachable manner helps to make you feel at ease and builds confidence in the team that will be looking after your dental needs.

Dr. D Kashani

In 1998 Daryoush qualified as a doctor of dental surgery from the university of Copenhagen and in 2000 he moved to England.

In 2003 he owned his own dental practice where he carried out general dentistry for over 11 years. Daryoush joined us in Oct 2020 as an associate dentist and enjoys all aspects of dentistry.

Daryoush has a special interest in surgical dentistry. To complement his special interests in surgical treatment such as implant placement
(PRGF atrophic maxilla/mandible and membrane,qualified on 2002 ) he also has a passion for facial rejuvenation procedure by U225/needle concept using PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma). The revolutionary treatment is based on the use of Platelet-rich plasma technology which renews and replenishes skin to delay the onset of aging in younger skin and smooths wrinkles producing healthier, more natural complexion in older skin.

Caitlin Mascord

I first started in dentistry when I was 17, working in a small but busy practice in Hastings, from there, I was hired directly to a much larger company, working between the large main practice and a smaller practice for some years before being hired to work as Head Nurse at the practice in this 2017.

In my spare time, I play computer games and am a member of the Battel Bonfire Boyes, for whom I take part in organising, fusing and setting off fireworks for various events, as well as other activities throughout the year.

Alina Baker

Alina has been working as a dental nurse for 18 years and qualified with the NEBDN in 2006.

Steyning Avenue Dental Surgery is the second dental practice she has worked in. She nurses with Colin and has been there for 18 months.

The dental practice has a lovely calm and friendly atmosphere and is a joy to work there. She is married and has two daughters who have given her two beautiful grandsons who she loves spending time with.

In her spare time, Alina likes to to read, go on long walks with her dog and do home baking. She is a keen swimmer and loves going to the beach.

Rosie Pryer

Hi my name is Rosie, I am a dental nurse here at Steyning Avenue dental practice, I have been a nurse here since October 2020 and work alongside Daryoush.
I started nursing at the age of 16 for a surgery in Shoreham and gained my diploma in dental nursing 3 years later, I remained there for 11 years and worked my way up to practice manager.

Since then I joined the NHS and worked as a HCA at the hospital, and then embarking on a crepe business with my husband in our home town of Seaford. During my years of nursing I have gained valuable experience from general dentistry, to cosmetic, to implants.

I have worked with a number of dentists and have taken a piece of their expertise with me along the way. I thrive the most with cosmetic treatments and implants, these make such a difference to a person in more ways than one, and to be part of their experience and smile makes me love what I do.

I am kept busy with our business and three pug pups! However when I do have some spare time, I love nothing more than long walks and paranormal investigations.
